Nikki Rappaport is passionate about so many things and she packs every day full with trying to do them all. She has lived in Washington, DC for eight years and is particularly found of its row houses, cherry blossoms, and art collections. Nikki writes about baking, DC dining, style, interiors, and twenty-something life on her lifestyle blog Cupcakes for Breakfast. She makes simple, comforting food that tells stories of happy bellies and joyful gatherings. This most usually means big bowls of pasta and rich chocolate cake. She actually does eat cupcakes for breakfast. They’re better than cereal. Currently, Nikki is the Brand Strategist at Cava Grill, where she oversees experiential and digital marketing. Her portfolio includes creative direction, social media, in-store and online experiences, events, community engagement, PR and much more. She graduated from the George Washington University in 2009 with a BA in Journalism and then worked at GW in digital marketing, collegiate licensing and events for admissions and sports marketing. Nikki also dabbles in wedding planning, personal brand consulting, and making the perfect chocolate frosting.
